Veterans Day is upon us, and let us pay tribute to the honor, the courage, and the sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.
Today, nearly 17.6 million veterans live among us—neighbors, coworkers, family members—each having answered the call to serve. Today, over 2 million Americans serve in uniform—active duty, Guard, and Reserves—representing less than 0.4% of the adult population. This small but mighty force stands ready to defend our nation every day.
