It is with a heavy heart that we have lost CPT Johnathan Knapp on 5 February 2026. He was 48 years old.
Johnathan Knapp was born on 18 January 1978 and had a long career in Food Service Management.
Johnathan Knapp served honorably for a period of 10 years in the South Carolina State Guard. After he separated from the South Carolina State Guard, he joined the Royal Lao Airborne and, over time, obtained the rank of Captain.
CPT Johnthan Knapp served as part of the RAIDER’s and Jungle Operations Detachment Team with the code name Turbo, and was a member of the Royal Lao Airborne Cadre.
CPT Johnthan Knapp earned the RAIDER Trident and the Jungle Expert Badge. In addition to these Badges, he also earned the following RLA Awards.

CPT Johnthan Knapp was a friend and an inspiration to all that he came into contact with, and will be remembered and celebrated for the friendship and camaraderie that he brought to all.
